Why does Google love Firefox?
Why does Google love Firefox?
Firefox referral program is a part of Google's adsense program. Google pays for every adsense publisher up to 1$ when a user they referred installs Mozilla FireFox and Google toolbar on a windows machine for the first time. But why does Google do so? Firefox isn't owned by Google but it's owned by the Mozilla foundation.
Well that's basically for the following two reasons:
1-Mozilla Firefox default page is Mozilla Firefox Start Page from Google. This means every time the user opens Mozilla Firefox he will have Google as his home page.
2-Google Toolbar will get installed as a Toolbar with Firefox.
What does that all mean?
This means that you'll probably use Google as your search engine with Mozilla Firefox. Google will profit from the chances of clicking on the sponsored links every time you use its search engine. Am sure google ROI from this campaign is fast and huge enough to make it fall deeply in love with Firefox.
It's worth mentioning that Google pays it's referrals up to 1$ per google picasa download, and up to 2$ per google pack download.
