The Firefox revolution
Mozilla Firefox usage continues to increase in Europe. According to a recent research done by French firm Xiti Monitor, its usage has grown by 3.8% since April to reach 23.2%. It’s the time for Microsoft to begin watching its back.
I am not an anti-Microsoft fanatic, but personally I think it’s a shame that the browser of the operating system that is used by more than 95% of the people and costs hundreds of dollars is so vulnerable to malicious exploits. I don’t use Firefox to express hatred to Microsoft’s anti-competitive business practices but because I am bothered by the amount of viruses, Spyware and pop-ups my pc is exposed to while using internet explorer.
Firefox has proved to be an excellent alternative; it’s fast, secure and smart. The continuous development of this open-source project provides a constant stream of useful functionalities, extensions and themes. I am a computer geek, but Firefox ease-of-use was also experienced by millions of normal users all over the world.
I can still see an increase in the percentage usage of FireFox as long as the support and help by this excellent community continues.
